H.R. No. 273
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Those young people who have distinguished
themselves through their diligence and hard work in pursuing their
educational goals are an inspiration to every Texan, and they are
truly deserving of our admiration and praise; and
WHEREAS, The salutatorian of San Isidro High School's Class
of 2005, April Garza has demonstrated a thorough understanding of a
wide range of subjects, from math and science to language arts and
social studies; and
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
recognized as the second highest achieving student in her class,
Ms. Garza will undoubtedly continue to inspire others when she
pursues a degree in business and accounting at The University of
Texas--Pan American; and
WHEREAS, The academic success of this proud Starr County
resident reflects a remarkable work ethic and a powerful drive to
succeed, and her rural South Texas upbringing has clearly endowed
her with a strength of character and a solid foundation on which to
build her future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate April Garza on
being named salutatorian of San Isidro High School and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
