H.R. No. 286



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Odus and Lena Mae Sitton of Lindale celebrated their 
65th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2005, marking a momentous 
milestone in their long and happy union; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Sitton and the former Lena Mae Melvin were 
united in matrimony in 1940 in Lindale, and they have enjoyed a 
loving marriage that has been blessed with three children, Linda 
Bryant and her husband, Bobby, Larry Sitton and his wife, Margo, and 
Steve Sitton, as well as four grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Sitton are valued members of the 
Central Baptist Church of Lindale, where they have worshiped for 45 
years; throughout their marriage, Mrs. Sitton has been a dedicated 
homemaker while Mr. Sitton is a retired rancher and rose grower; and
	WHEREAS, For six-and-a-half decades, Odus and Lena Mae Sitton 
have shared life's trials and triumphs, and their enduring union 
remains a source of inspiration to all those with whom they have 
shared the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Odus and Lena 
Mae Sitton on the joyous occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary 
and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness 
together; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sitton as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
