                                                                  H.R. No. 290



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Sergeant Glenn Barham has retired from the Wichita 
Falls Police Department after 33 years of service, drawing to a 
close an outstanding tenure with that department; and
	WHEREAS, Beginning his law enforcement career in August 1972 
as a dispatcher, Sergeant Barham became a police recruit on January 
9, 1974, and he made sergeant in April 1981; along the way, Sergeant 
Barham served with distinction in all areas of patrol, 
identification, records, and communications; and
	WHEREAS, Sergeant Barham has served the City of Wichita Falls 
with integrity and dedication, earning widespread respect and 
admiration, and it is appropriate to take this opportunity to honor 
him; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Sergeant 
Glenn Barham on his retirement from the Wichita Falls Police 
Department and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Sergeant Barham as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
