R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The well-being of the people of Texas depends on 
economic prosperity throughout the state, and independent 
businesses that employ Texans and contribute to their local 
economies are important components of a healthy economy and a 
prosperous future; and
	WHEREAS, Hudson's Grill, owned by Anthony Duncan, has been a 
mainstay of El Paso culinary culture for two decades, and its 
attainment of this milestone provides an opportune time to 
recognize its importance to the community; and
	WHEREAS, For a restaurant to flourish in a city of some 2,000 
eating establishments for 20 years is no small feat, and Mr. 
Duncan's success in his chosen field is reflected by the high esteem 
in which he is held by his professional peers and his induction into 
the Texas Restaurant Association Hall of Honor; and
	WHEREAS, Hudson's Grill enriches the lives of El Pasoans not 
only through its commitment to quality food and service but also 
through sound business practices that reward the hard work of the 
restaurant's employees, and Mr. Duncan and all those associated 
with this venerable El Paso institution merit special recognition 
for their achievements; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Anthony Duncan and 
Hudson's Grill on the occasion of the restaurant's 20th 
anniversary; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Hudson's Grill as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
