                                                                  H.R. No. 335



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The year 2005 will indeed be memorable for Gary 
Andrew Starr and Noemi Ramirez Starr of Falfurrias, who are 
celebrating their 50th birthdays during the month of September; and
	WHEREAS, Both members of the Falfurrias High School Class of 
1974, Mr. Starr was born on September 7, 1955, while Mrs. Starr was 
born on September 30; the two were married on January 21, 1978, and 
since that time they have shared the joy of welcoming three 
children, Desiree Lynn, Kimberly Ann, and Jacob Tyler, into their 
family, and pursuing successful careers; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Starr holds an associate's degree in police 
science from Del Mar College and served as a justice of the peace 
from 1983 through 1987; he is currently employed with Accent 
Energy; Mrs. Starr earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in 
education from Texas A&I University, and she has put her expertise 
to good use in her work with the Brooks County ISD; together, the 
couple are also active members of the community of worship at New 
Covenant Church; and
	WHEREAS, In commemorating the birthdays of these two notable 
Texans, their loved ones also celebrate the couple's enduring love 
for each other and their many contributions to their community 
through the years; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Gary Andrew 
Starr and Noemi Ramirez Starr on the occasion of their 50th 
birthdays and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Starr as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
