R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Thompson-Craig family reunion is being held in 
Houston on July 22, 2005, and this occasion is most deserving of 
special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Celebrating two centuries of their history, members 
of the Thompson and Craig branches of this notable family take great 
pride in their forebears, who began migrating from the parishes of 
Louisiana to the Lone Star State in the early 1900s; and
	WHEREAS, Through the years, the contributions made by the men 
and women of the Thompson-Craig family have been interwoven in the 
compelling story of Texas, and it is indeed fitting that they be 
acknowledged at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commemorate the occasion of 
the 2005 Thompson-Craig family reunion and extend to the organizers 
and participants sincere best wishes for a memorable and meaningful 
gathering.
