R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on July 1, 2005, Bill and Nell Collins of Longview 
marked this significant milestone in their long and happy marriage; 
and
	WHEREAS, This loving pair were married in First Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church of Longview in 1955; they have been blessed 
with a family that includes their son, Marshall, and his wife, Amy, 
and their beloved granddaughters, Calgary and Camry; and
	WHEREAS, Valued members of First Baptist Church of Longview, 
Mrs. Collins served for many years as the institution's music 
ministry assistant and children's choir coordinator, while Mr. 
Collins is retired from a distinguished career with Dresser, Inc.; 
and
	WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Collins have been 
greatly enriched by their love for one another; together they 
treasure many happy memories, and their marriage remains an 
inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Bill and Nell 
Collins on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Collins as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
