R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Longview residents Charles and Helen McBride 
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 2, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, The couple were united in matrimony in 1950 in 
Shreveport, and their family has grown to include two daughters, 
Priscilla McWilliams and Janet McBride, three grandchildren, Kevin 
Scott, Angela Scott, and Rachel McBride, and a great-grandchild, 
Dillon Charles Scott; and
	WHEREAS, Residents of Longview since 1973, Mr. and Mrs. 
McBride have truly been life partners, sharing business interests 
as well as a predilection for fishing and gardening; and
	WHEREAS, Through 5-1/2 decades, the McBrides have 
experienced life's trials and triumphs together, and their enduring 
union continues to be a source of inspiration to all those with whom 
they have shared the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Charles and 
Helen McBride on the joyous occasion of their 55th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McBride as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
