R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Jacob Wayne Mathews of San Antonio is among the 
elite group of individuals who have attained the rank of Eagle 
Scout, and his notable accomplishment was recognized at a Court of 
Honor on May 13, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, During his tenure as a member of Boy Scout Troop 117, 
Eagle Scout Mathews has demonstrated commitment and integrity as a 
leader, and he has earned the respect and admiration of his fellow 
troop members; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Mathews has steadily progressed through the 
ranks since beginning his association with scouting, earning more 
than 50 merit badges and performing extensive beautification work 
at a local elementary school for his Eagle Scout project; and
	WHEREAS, Jacob Mathews is a source of great pride to his 
family, friends, and fellow scouts, and it is indeed a pleasure to 
join in paying tribute to this admirable young man and to recognize 
this momentous event; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jacob Wayne 
Mathews on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him 
sincere best wishes for success and happiness in the years to come; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Mathews as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
