SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 6
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Jane S. Allison on the occasion of her retirement from her position as Clinical Department Administrator IV of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; and WHEREAS, During her years with the university, Jane has consistently manifested expertise and sound judgment in dealing with her complex responsibilities; and WHEREAS, Hardworking and talented, Jane has held numerous positions during her 34 years of service to Texas Tech University; during her tenure she has received the Health Sciences Center Superior Achievement Award, the Health Sciences Center Award of Excellence, and the President's Quality Service Award; and WHEREAS, Jane is a superb organizer who helped start the Association of Family Practice Administrators and served as its first president; in 1997, the organization named a lectureship in her honor; and WHEREAS, Jane is beloved and respected by her colleagues at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and in August, she will return to the Department of Family and Community Medicine to serve as director of Family Medicine Special Projects; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Jane S. Allison for her exceptional accomplishments and her years of dedicated service to the Texas Tech Univesity Health Sciences Center; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
