SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 13
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater
Houston for its contributions to the city and the state; and
WHEREAS, The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce was
established in 1999 to promote commercial and economic ties
between business communities in the greater Houston area and
India; a dedicated group of energetic and enterprising business
owners and entrepreneurs came together to offer networking
opportunities for local businesses; and
WHEREAS, The organization encourages, assists, and
provides information and expertise for small and start-up
businesses in the Indo-American community in Houston; and
WHEREAS, The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce helps
create networking opportunities for local business owners and
provides training and mentoring programs to encourage business
growth; and
WHEREAS, The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce supports
the spirit of entrepreneurship through many of its programs,
providing internships and mentoring programs for the
Indo-American community; and
WHEREAS, This worthy organization stimulates and supports
Indo-American entrepreneurs and small businesses, and the
Texas Senate applauds its worthwhile and influential endeavors
in the Houston area; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the
Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston for its
dedication to assisting businesses in the Indo-American
community and extend sincere congratulations to its many
exemplary members; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the chamber as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
