SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 26
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Robert L. Billstone for his many years of loyal service
to the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and
WHEREAS, Bob joined the comptroller's office in 1979 and
served in the El Paso Audit Office; he advanced rapidly through
the auditing classifications, becoming a Senior Tax Auditor; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his
superior organizational skills and accounting expertise; and
WHEREAS, Bob became a criminal investigator with the
comptroller's Criminal Investigation Division in 1987; during
this period, he earned his Master Peace Officer Certification
with the Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and
Education; and
WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, he has
handled his many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency
and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Bob is admired and respected as an exemplary
employee by his colleagues, and his presence in the Office of the
Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend
Robert L. Billstone on his exceptional service and his many
contributions to our state and extend to him best wishes for the
retirement years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
