SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 51

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Reverend Ralph Whitehead on the occasion of his 
installation as the new pastor of the Greater Mount Olive 
Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas; and

	WHEREAS, Inspirational and dedicated to helping others, 
Reverend Whitehead has served as a deacon, a Sunday school 
teacher, and an associate minister; in 1992, he began serving as 
pastor of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Milford; and

	WHEREAS, Recently elected pastor of the Greater Mount 
Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Whitehead will 
undoubtedly be a source of strength and support to its members 
and to the community; and

	WHEREAS, To welcome this distinguished pastor to his new 
church, an installation celebration is being held in his honor on 
July 17, 2005; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate 
Reverend Ralph Whitehead on his installation as pastor of the 
Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and extend to him 
best wishes for the future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
