SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 62
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Debbie Lindemann, who is retiring July 29, 2005, after more than 29 years of loyal service with the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and WHEREAS, Debbie joined the comptroller's office in May of 1976; she served in the Inquiry Section of the Revenue Processing Division, where she performed research on taxpayer information; and WHEREAS, After moving to the Minerals Applications and Exceptions Section of the Account Maintenance Division in 1991, Debbie handled the crude oil and natural gas severance process and took the lead for the rewrite of the natural gas nonprocessed transactions; and WHEREAS, Debbie worked for the Tax Applications Section in 1995, and she became expert in matters regarding crude oil and natural gas taxation; and WHEREAS, While serving in the Electronic Reporting Section in 1998, Debbie played a vital role in the implementation of the electronic reporting for natural gas and crude oil taxes; her extensive design and program enhancements aided this section in reaching its goals; and WHEREAS, As a member of the Natural Gas Tax Section since 2003, Debbie has been responsible for researching, analyzing, and processing data on natural gas tax accounts and has received excellent customer feedback from taxpayers; and WHEREAS, Debbie is an exemplary employee and is admired and respected by her colleagues, and her presence in the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Debbie Lindemann for her exceptional service in the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and for her many contributions to our state and extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
