SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 83

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize LaTonya Edwards and Jacob Battles on the joyous 
occasion of their marriage; and

	WHEREAS, LaTonya and Jacob were joined in matrimony on 
April 23, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nevada; they are both looking 
forward to a lifetime of sharing their love and supporting each 
other; and

	WHEREAS, The family and friends of the couple take great 
joy in their newfound happiness; they joined LaTonya and Jacob in 
a celebration of their marriage on July 9 at the Cedar Hill 
Recreation Center; and

	WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is delighted to send warmest 
congratulations to LaTonya and Jacob as they begin their life 
together sharing their love and mutual respect; now, therefore, 
be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend best wishes 
for much future happiness to LaTonya Edwards and Jacob Battles on 
the occasion of this special event in their lives; and, be it 
further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
them as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
