SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 87
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Raymond David Franco, who is retiring on
August 31, 2005, after more than 30 years of loyal service with
the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and
WHEREAS, Raymond is an auditor in the Fort Worth Audit
Division of the comptroller's office; he began his career as an
enforcement officer on June 20, 1975, and transferred to the
Audit Division on August 1, 1976; and
WHEREAS, Raymond served in the United States Army from
1961 to 1964; he graduated from the University of North Texas
in 1974; he is married and the father of two sons; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his
superior skills and accounting expertise; a talented and
resourceful individual, he has handled his many responsibilities
in the Audit Division with exceptional efficiency and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Raymond is admired and respected by his
colleagues, and his presence in the Fort Worth Audit Division of
the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly
missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend
Raymond David Franco on his exceptional service in the Office
of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and his many contributions
to our state and extend to him best wishes for the retirement
years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
