SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 119
WHEREAS, Richard L. Clements of Dallas has played an important role in the real estate community of North Texas, and he is now celebrating 50 years in business; and WHEREAS, A native of Minneapolis, Mr. Clements has lived in East Dallas for more than six decades; he attended Woodrow Wilson High School and Texas A&M University and served in the Korean War before launching his successful career as an award-winning real estate professional; and WHEREAS, He is the owner and president of Clements Realtors, a company that currently specializes in leasing and property management in Dallas and has a sales office in Winnsboro; Mr. Clements' wife, Chloie, has worked with him in the business for 35 years; and WHEREAS, Dick Clements has distinguished himself as a member of numerous committees for the Greater Dallas Association of Realtors and Texas Association of Realtors, and has been named one of the best residential realtors in Dallas by D Magazine; and WHEREAS, In addition to building a successful real estate company, he has donated much time to civic organizations benefiting the community of East Dallas; a director and officer of the Dallas Northeast Chamber of Commerce, he is also an active deacon and former chairman of the fellowship of deacons at First Baptist Church Dallas; and WHEREAS, Dick Clements is a highly respected civic leader and businessman, and it is most appropriate to take the opportunity presented by the celebration of his 50 years in business to honor him for his many noteworthy accomplishments; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Dick Clements for his impressive professional achievements and commend him for his outstanding community service; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Mr. Clements as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
