Amend CSHB 2 by adding the following appropriately lettered 

part to Article 2 of the bill, and relettering subsequent parts 

accordingly:



PART ___.  PUBLIC USE OF COMPUTERS IN CERTAIN LOCAL PUBLIC LIBRARIES

	SECTION 2__.01.  Chapter 315, Local Government Code, is 

amended by adding Section 315.007 to read as follows:

	Sec. 315.007.  COMPUTER ACCESS IN CERTAIN PUBLIC LIBRARIES.  

A municipal public library in a municipality with a population of 

more than 50,000:

		(1)  shall provide computers with high-speed Internet 

access for use by the public; and

		(2)  may charge a reasonable fee for use of the 

computers.
