Amend Floor Amendment No. 15 by Lucio to CSSB 8 as follows:                  

	(1)  In Item (1) of the amendment, in amended Section 

7.056(e)(3)(M),        





Education Code (page 2, lines 22 and 23), strike ", except as 

provided by that section".

	(2)  In Item (1) of the amendment, strike the section 

amending Section 25.0811(a), Education Code (page 2, line 24 

through page 3, line 8).

	(3)  In Item (1) of the amendment, strike the transition 

section (page 3, lines 9 through 17), and substitute the following:

	SECTION 2C.__.  A waiver under Section 7.056(e), Education 

Code, from the requirements for the first day of instruction under 

Section 25.0811, Education Code, as amended by this Act, for the 

2006-2007 or a subsequent school year that is granted before August 

1, 2006, is void.
