Amend CSSB 8 as follows:                                                     

	(1)  In SECTION 1B.01 of the bill, in proposed Section 

42.252(b), Education Code, in the description of "GL", strike 

"provided that a different amount for any school year may be 

provided by appropriation;" and substitute "provided that a greater 

amount for any school year may be provided by appropriation;".

	(2)  In SECTION 1B.01 of the bill, in proposed Section 

42.252, Education Code, strike Subsection (e).

	(3)  In SECTION 1B.01 of the bill, in proposed Section 

42.301, Education Code, strike Subsection (f).

	(4)  In SECTION 1B.01 of the bill, in proposed Section
