R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, It has long been the custom of the House of 

Representatives of the State of Texas to honor the children of its 

members by electing them to the office of mascot; and

	WHEREAS, Our esteemed colleague, Representative Will 

Hartnett, has become the proud father of an adorable baby boy, 

Langston Warner Hartnett, born on June 6, 2005, in Dallas, just one 

week after the 79th Regular Session was adjourned sine die; and

	WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a proud Lone 

Star birthright, Langston Warner Hartnett has won the hearts not 

only of his parents but also the family's many doting friends and 

relatives who have warmly welcomed this precious little boy into 

the world; and

	WHEREAS, It is indeed fitting that this estimable young 

Texan's name be added to the roster of honorary house mascots; now, 

therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby designate Langston Warner 

Hartnett to the honorary office of mascot; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a picture of Langston be added to the picture 

panel of the Texas House of Representatives and that an official 

certificate be prepared for him as a memento of this honor.
