R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Lamesa residents Laurence and Ida Hinkle celebrated 

their golden wedding anniversary with a family dinner on July 15, 

2005, marking a milestone in their long and happy union; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. Hinkle and the former Ida Hambrick were united 

in matrimony in 1955 at the Lamesa Assembly of God parsonage, and 

the happy couple have since enjoyed a marriage filled with love, 

trust, and mutual respect that has grown stronger with each passing 

year; and

	WHEREAS, During the past half-century, the Hinkles have taken 

great pleasure in the relationship they have with their children 

and their spouses, Grady Hinkle and his wife, Rita, Kathy Lingar and 

her husband, Jim, and Betty Allen and her husband, Kenneth, as well 

as their five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and

	WHEREAS, For five decades, Laurence and Ida Hinkle have 

shared life's trials and triumphs, and their enduring union remains 

a source of inspiration to all those with whom they have shared the 

richness of their life together; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Laurence and 

Ida Hinkle on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 

sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hinkle as an expression of high regard by 

the Texas House of Representatives.
