H.R. No. 73 







R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Robert and Carol Young of Midland marked a special 

milestone in their lives on July 21, 2005, when they celebrated 

their golden wedding anniversary; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Young have built an enduring union that 

has been blessed with their children, Mallory and her husband, 

Jerry, Bob, and Bill and his wife, Betty; moreover, they have shared 

in the joy of welcoming two grandchildren, Katy and Brady, into 

their family; and

	WHEREAS, Having resided in Midland for 30 years, Mr. Young 

worked in the elevator industry for more than three decades and is 

currently enjoying an active retirement; Mrs. Young has been 

involved in numerous volunteer organizations and enjoys her church 

life as well; and

	WHEREAS, For more than half a century, this devoted couple 

have nurtured a strong bond of love and mutual respect, filling each 

other's lives with many happy times and cherished family memories, 

and it is a pleasure to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be 

it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Robert and 

Carol Young on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 

anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued happiness; 

and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Young as an expression of high regard by 

the Texas House of Representatives.
