R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Anthony John Cutaia of Houston has much to be proud of, having fulfilled the demanding requirements to attain the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting movement; a member of the Order of the Arrow, Mr. Cutaia earned the requisite 21 merit badges and successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and WHEREAS, Having served his troop as chaplain, quartermaster, scribe, patrol leader, den chief, and troop guide, this fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his scouting career and has won the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting offers; and WHEREAS, The son of Michael and Susie Cutaia and a 2005 graduate of Saint Pius X Catholic High School, Mr. Cutaia participated in two musical productions, competed as a member of the swim team, and was involved in the campus ministry leadership team and the varsity choir while in high school; moreover, he attended World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto, served on the 2004 confirmation team, and worked at SHINE Catholic Work Camp from 2000 to 2003; and WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Cutaia's dedication to excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Anthony John Cutaia on becoming an Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Cutaia as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
