H.R. No. 80 





R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Alba residents Barbara and Clyde Swindell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 19, 2005, at a party hosted by their children and grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Mr. Swindell and the former Barbara Cozett Moore were united in matrimony in Alba in 1955 while Mr. Swindell was on leave from the U.S. Army, and they have enjoyed a marriage filled with trust and mutual respect; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Swindell has been a dedicated homemaker throughout the marriage, while Mr. Swindell, now retired, worked as the body shop manager for Bill McDavid Pontiac in Fort Worth; and WHEREAS, The couple have drawn great joy from their loving family, which has grown to include three children, Deborah Lynn Diedericks and her husband, Keith, Gerri Sue Thomas, and Jeffrey Paul Swindell and his wife, Koko, as well as seven grandchildren; and WHEREAS, For the past half-century, Mr. and Mrs. Swindell have shared life's trials and triumphs, and their enduring union remains an inspiration to all those who have shared in the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Barbara and Clyde Swindell on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Swindell as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
