                                                                  H.R. No. 81 







R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Hermon and Jean Taylor of Alba marked the milestone 

of their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, To commemorate this joyous occasion, the couple 

celebrated with a special dinner hosted by their family on June 24 

in Tyler; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were united in matrimony in 1955 

at the First Assembly of God Church in Pampa, and they have enjoyed 

a marriage that has been blessed with three children, Susan Taylor, 

Gina Martin and her husband, John, and Randy Taylor, and three 

grandchildren, Jonathan and Lauren Martin and Tiffany Taylor; and

	WHEREAS, Moving to Alba in 1986 after they retired, the 

Taylors both enjoyed long and successful careers as educators; he 

taught for 37 years and she for 34; and

	WHEREAS, The enduring union of Hermon and Jean Taylor is a 

source of inspiration to all those with whom they have shared the 

richness of their lives, and it is indeed a pleasure to join them in 

celebrating five decades together; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Hermon and 

Jean Taylor on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them 

sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Taylor as an expression of high regard by 

the Texas House of Representatives.
