R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
of Mary Dooley Compeau of Austin, who passed away on July 20, 2005,
at the age of 75; and
WHEREAS, Born on December 27, 1929, in Somerville, New
Jersey, to proud parents Harry and Isabella Dooley, she moved to
Austin in 1973, where for many years she was employed with Holy
Cross Hospital as its food service director; since 1998, she had
capably managed the office of her daughter, podiatrist Dr. Anne
Compeau Ames, at Seton Medical Park Tower; and
WHEREAS, With her husband, Donald Pierre Compeau, she enjoyed
a warm and fulfilling marriage that was blessed with two daughters
and two sons, and the family has since grown to include six
grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to know Mary Compeau will
long miss the warmth of her company, and she will surely be
remembered with great affection and admiration for many years to
come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Mary Dooley Compeau and extend sincere sympathy to the members of
her family: to her daughters, Dr. Anne Compeau Ames and Jeanne
Compeau Keel; to her grandchildren, Lauren Ames, Travis and Sean
Keel, Katie Rose Williamson, and Brandon and William Compeau; and
to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Dooley
Compeau.
