R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Rodolfo Guerrero, M.D., of Weslaco has devoted 

nearly a quarter-century to the treatment of patients at Knapp 

Medical Center, playing a pivotal role in the lives of countless 

people in need; and

	WHEREAS, Born in Mexico, Dr. Guerrero earned his bachelor's 

and medical degrees at the University of Puebla; he arrived in the 

United States in the mid-1970s, completing his residency at 

McKeesport Hospital in Pennsylvania; and

	WHEREAS, This esteemed surgeon became chief of staff at Knapp 

Medical Center in 1985, and he holds the respect and admiration of 

his patients and peers alike; he has served the institution as an 

ACLS and ATLS instructor as well as chief of surgery; and

	WHEREAS, Highly regarded in his field, Dr. Guerrero is 

board-certified in general-vascular surgery; he holds membership 

in a host of professional organizations as well, including the 

American College of Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, Hidalgo 

County Medical Society, and the American Heart Association; and

	WHEREAS, Rodolfo Guerrero has provided outstanding patient 

care as a member of the medical profession, setting high standards 

of excellence to which all may aspire; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Dr. Rodolfo 

Guerrero for his positive contributions to the health and 

well-being of his fellow Texans; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Dr. Guerrero as an expression of high regard by the 

Texas House of Representatives.
