R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The loss of a child is cause for much sadness and
grief, and the family and friends of Philip Michael "PK" Kory IV of
Boerne mourn the passing of this beloved little boy, who left this
world on July 28, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Born on June 14, 2000, PK possessed boundless energy
and enjoyed an array of sports, including soccer, T-ball, baseball,
and swimming; he was bright and intuitive, demonstrating rare
charisma and a genuine gift for rhetoric and persuasion; and
WHEREAS, This clever five-year-old was a great fan of the
"Harry Potter" series of books; he was preceded in death by his
black Labrador retriever, Rosco, who will faithfully stay by his
side as they tread the fields and valleys of nevermore and soar
together through wispy, white clouds, as PK often dreamed of doing;
and
WHEREAS, In addition to his parents and younger brother, PK
leaves behind his cousins, Gabriela, Blake, Jasmin, Lauren, and
Cameron, and his best friends, Tyler and Marcus, all of whom are
better for having known this dynamic and enthusiastic youngster;
and
WHEREAS, For reasons unknown, the circle of life is sometimes
broken; and although the loss of PK Kory is difficult to bear, there
is comfort to be found in remembering his life and the happiness
that he brought to all who knew him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Philip Michael Kory IV and extend deepest sympathy to his parents,
Philip Michael Kory III and Catherine Gens Kory, and his younger
brother, Matthew Kory; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Philip
Michael Kory IV.
