R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ralph Draper has been named the lone finalist for
the position of superintendent of the Spring Independent School
District; and
WHEREAS, A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Draper has most
recently distinguished himself as an administrator through his
outstanding work with the Marshall ISD, which he has served as a
principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent over the
course of the past decade; and
WHEREAS, His passion for children and proven ability to lead
and work in concert with board members, staff, and members of the
community to enhance student achievement have characterized his
tenure in Marshall, and these admirable qualities are sure to
benefit the Spring school system as well; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Draper has enjoyed the
support of his loving and close-knit family, including his wife,
Charlene, and their daughters, Genesis, Joy, and Charity; and
WHEREAS, Although Ralph Draper will be missed by all who have
benefited from his leadership in the Marshall ISD, he may indeed
reflect with pride on a job well done as he begins what is certain to
be an exciting new chapter in his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Ralph Draper
on being named the sole finalist for the position of superintendent
of the Spring Independent School District; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Draper as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
