R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Seven decades of marriage is truly reason for 

celebration, and on August 7, 2005, Harrold and Lovela Moore of 

Commerce commemorated that momentous milestone in their life 

together at a family-hosted reception at First Baptist Church; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore exchanged vows on August 7, 1935, 

and since that special day, they have enjoyed a warm and fulfilling 

relationship that has brought much happiness into their lives; now 

retired from farming, they have lived in their home in the Horton 

community for the past 64 years; and

	WHEREAS, The Moores take great pride in their children, June 

Dunn, Johnny Moore, Loyce Helton, Gary Moore, and Richard Moore, as 

well as their 13 grandchildren, their 14 great-grandchildren, and 

their great-great-grandchild; and

	WHEREAS, Together, Mr. and Mrs. Moore have shared the myriad 

joys and challenges of marriage and parenthood, and their enduring 

union undoubtedly serves as an inspiration for their circle of 

loved ones; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Harrold and 

Lovela Moore on the joyous occasion of their 70th wedding 

anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 

happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Moore as an expression of high regard by 

the Texas House of Representatives.
