H.R. No. 166





R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dwayne and Jean Ann Patterson of Greenville marked a significant milestone in their lives on July 27, 2005, when they commemorated their golden wedding anniversary, and they recently celebrated the happy occasion with a reception hosted by their children and their spouses at Wesley United Methodist Church; and WHEREAS, United in matrimony in 1955 at Dixon Baptist Church, Mr. Patterson and the former Jean Ann Baumgardner have built an enduring union that has been blessed with three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Gary Bellotte, Brenda and Monty Fitzgerald, and Patty and Kevin Jenkins; moreover, they have shared in the joy of welcoming into their family nine grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, The couple are the owners of Patterson Piano and Organ Co. and attend Peniel Baptist Church, where Mr. Patterson serves as music director and deacon; he also is the past president of the Greenville Lions Club and a member of the Hunt County Fair board; and WHEREAS, For more than half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson have nurtured a strong bond of love and mutual respect, filling each other's lives with many happy times and cherished memories, and it is a pleasure to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dwayne and Jean Ann Patterson on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Patterson as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
