R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Baird is celebrating its 

120th year of operation; and

	WHEREAS, The bank has served the banking needs of Baird and 

the Big Country since July 1, 1885, and has consistently 

contributed to area growth by supporting commerce, local charities, 

and community events; and

	WHEREAS, The board members, officers, and employees of this 

venerable financial institution strive to provide exceptional 

service to its customers; the bank is under the current leadership 

of Joe Sharp, CEO/co-chairman; Sammy Edington, co-chairman; Scott 

Lindley, president and director; Fred Goble, director; Zan Statham, 

director; and senior vice presidents Ron Keller, John May, Dan 

Nasser, Dani Ramsay, and Mike Bannister; and

	WHEREAS, For 120 years, the First National Bank of Baird has 

met the needs of area residents by providing quality service and by 

supporting civic organizations and activities, and it will 

undoubtedly continue to play a vital role in the community for many 

years to come; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, commend the First National Bank of 

Baird for 120 years of operation and extend to all those associated 

with this institution sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it 

further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for the bank as an expression of high regard by the Texas 

House of Representatives.
