H.R. No. 199







R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, After 20 years of exemplary service, Ronnie Urbantke 

is stepping down from his position as superintendent of the Riesel 

Independent School District in May 2006; and

	WHEREAS, A native of Riesel, Mr. Urbantke graduated from 

Baylor University and taught in Kerens and Forney before returning 

to his hometown with his wife, Janette; and

	WHEREAS, Under his leadership, Riesel ISD has seen 

unprecedented growth, including facilities upgrades and the 

construction of a new elementary school, track, and high school 

gymnasium; and

	WHEREAS, Ronnie Urbantke has served the needs of our state's 

youth for nearly 38 years as an educator and administrator; 

retirement will mark a new chapter in his life, and it provides a 

fitting opportunity to recognize this esteemed Texan for his 

notable contributions and achievements; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Ronnie Urbantke for 

his exceptional tenure as superintendent at Riesel ISD and extend 

to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Mr. Urbantke as an expression of high regard by the 

Texas House of Representatives.
