R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Five decades of marriage is truly a reason for celebration, and on August 28, 2005, John and Judy Lysinger of Spring are observing their golden wedding anniversary; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lysinger, a native of Edinburg, and the former Judith Helen Hoeft exchanged wedding vows on August 28, 1955, at the Corpus Christi Cathedral in the bride's hometown, in a ceremony officiated by the Reverend Robert E. Clark; and WHEREAS, A warm and caring homemaker, Mrs. Lysinger has created a supportive home life for her family, and she also has served as director of religious education at the family's church; Mr. Lysinger was an engineer with IBM, and the family has lived in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Brownsville, and Endicott, New York; and WHEREAS, During the years devoted to raising their family, Mr. and Mrs. Lysinger delighted in supporting the myriad academic, sports, band, and religious endeavors of their 10 children while both served in leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas organizations; and WHEREAS, Today, the couple take justifiable pride in the professional accomplishments of their children, and they enjoy gardening, camping, and spending time with their family, which has grown to include 16 cherished grandchildren; and WHEREAS, For 50 years, Mr. and Mrs. Lysinger have shared the myriad joys of marriage and parenthood, and they are truly deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate John and Judy Lysinger on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lysinger as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
