R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Five decades of marriage is truly a reason for 

celebration, and on August 13, 2005, Jack and Daphene Minter of 

O'Donnell commemorated this significant milestone in their life 

together at a reception hosted by their children at the O'Donnell 

Community Center; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Minter exchanged their wedding vows on 

August 13, 1955, and since that special day, they have enjoyed a 

warm and fulfilling relationship that has brought them much 

happiness; and

	WHEREAS, The Minters are blessed with two children, LaRhea 

Minter and Jack Minter, Jr., as well as five beloved grandchildren; 

and

	WHEREAS, Devoted to each other and to their family, Mr. and 

Mrs. Minter have shared the trials and triumphs of a half-century of 

marriage together, and their enduring union remains a source of joy 

and inspiration to their loved ones; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jack and 

Daphene Minter on the memorable occasion of their 50th wedding 

anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 

happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Minter as an expression of high regard by 

the Texas House of Representatives.
