R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, The Spring Hill 13-14 All-Stars captured the 2005 

Texas Dixie Boys Championship on July 23, 2005, with an impressive 

victory over the Waxahachie Indians; and

	WHEREAS, Spring Hill relied on stellar defense and timely 

hitting to claim the best-of-three series and the coveted title; 

the team, which posted 4-1 and 8-6 victories, remained focused on 

its goal, overcoming early deficits to earn the crown; and

	WHEREAS, Team members include Hayden Michael Burns, Jacob 

Ryan Hayes, Charles Chadwick Johnson, Russell Warren Johnson, Jr., 

Tyler Zachary Johnson, Todd Austin Knowles, Tyler Jay Leath, Mack 

Arthur Faggett IV, Miles Joseph Peloquin, Joshua Dwayne Trammel, 

Alex Steven Voelzke, Zachary Thomas Wilson, and Zachary James 

Zeilinger; and

	WHEREAS, These dedicated youngsters received able guidance 

from coaches Jeff Johnson, Marcus Lutz, and Jamie Zeilinger, who 

instructed the boys in baseball fundamentals and encouraged the 

team to maintain a commitment to excellence throughout the 

tournament; and

	WHEREAS, The memory of this exciting championship will linger 

in the hearts of these talented athletes for many years to come, and 

the team members and their coaches are most deserving of special 

recognition for their notable achievements; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Spring 

Hill 13-14 All-Stars on winning the 2005 Texas Dixie Boys 

Championship and extend best wishes to the players and coaches for 

continued success in all their endeavors; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for the All-Stars as an expression of high regard by the 

Texas House of Representatives.
