R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Members of the Phillis Wheatley High School Class of 

1975 are gathering in Houston for their class reunion in September 

2005 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their graduation; and

	WHEREAS, The event promises to be a memorable one for all who 

attend, as old friendships are rekindled, cherished memories are 

recalled, and trials and triumphs of the past three decades are 

shared amidst lively conversation, warm laughter, and the 

occasional tear; and

	WHEREAS, In the 30 years since their high school graduation, 

many of the 411 men and women of the Class of '75 have assumed 

leadership roles in Houston and throughout the state and nation, 

and it is indeed fitting to recognize their myriad achievements as 

well as their loyalty to their alma mater; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 

Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 30th 

anniversary of the graduation of the Phillis Wheatley High School 

Class of 1975 and extend to its members sincere best wishes for 

continued success and happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

prepared for the class as an expression of high regard by the Texas 

House of Representatives.
