SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 60



	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 

recognize Dr. Jenny Preston of the Allen Independent School 

District on her selection as the Region 10 Superintendent of the 

Year for 2005; and

	WHEREAS, Dr. Preston was selected for this award by a 

regional screening committee of school board members; her 

nomination has been forwarded to the Texas Association of School 

Boards for consideration in the competition for the Texas 

Superintendent of the Year title; and

	WHEREAS, To earn the title of Regional Superintendent of 

the Year, administrators are evaluated in the areas of 

board/superintendent relations, instructional management, 

school/community relations, fiscal management, and facilities 

management; and

	WHEREAS, Dr. Preston is highly respected for her superior 

leadership and for her many accomplishments during her tenure 

with the Allen Independent School District, and she deserves 

credit for the first-class reputation the district has today; 

now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend

Dr. Jenny Preston for her excellent work on behalf of the Allen 

Independent School District and congratulate her on earning the 

title of Region 10 Superintendent of the Year; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 

her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
