SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 64
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize William Bun "Bunny" Agan on the grand occasion of his 70th birthday on August 22, 2005; and WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is known for his determination and strength of character, and he is a valued citizen of Mount Pleasant; and WHEREAS, William was born on August 22, 1935, in Mount Pleasant; he married Roxie Hutson and they raised four sons, Steven Leonard, William Bradley, Rocky Stanford, and Randall Lee; they are now blessed with 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson; and WHEREAS, A man who knows the value of hard work, William has operated a service station, worked for a refinery, driven a truck, and worked for the City of Mount Pleasant; he has been employed as a security guard with the Mount Pleasant Independent School District for the last seven years; and WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of his community, William is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Temple Lodge 70, and the Scottish Rite Order; he attends the Baptist church, where he has served as a deacon for 20 years; and WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, William sets great expectations for others, but none greater than the ones he sets for himself; it is altogether fitting that the Texas Senate pay tribute to this outstanding Texan; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend William Bun Agan for a life well lived and extend to him best wishes for many happy returns on his 70th birthday; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
