SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 72
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Margie Lopez Ayala, who retired from the Office of the
Comptroller of Public Accounts on July 31, 2005, after more than
20 years of loyal service; and
WHEREAS, Margie Ayala began her career with the
comptroller's office in June of 1985 as a tax auditor in the Audit
Division in the San Antonio office; in 2000, she transferred to
the Business Activity Research Team; and
WHEREAS, Margie is a graduate of Saint Mary's University,
where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration
with a major in accounting; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career with the comptroller's
office, Margie demonstrated superior skills and accounting
expertise; and
WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, she
handled her many responsibilities in the comptroller's office
with exceptional dedication and efficiency; and
WHEREAS, Margie was an exemplary employee who earned the
admiration and respect of her colleagues, and her presence in
the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly
missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend
Margie Lopez Ayala on her exceptional service and her many
contributions to our state and extend to her best wishes for the
retirement years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
