SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 73



	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 

recognize Delta Chemical Services, Incorporated, for being named 

the 2005 Industry of the Year by the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce;

and

	WHEREAS, Delta Chemical Services, Incorporated, opened

its Deer Park site in 1998 to service the packaging needs of the 

Gulf Coast chemical corridor for liquid chemicals; and

	WHEREAS, A state-of-the-art liquid chemical facility, this 

outstanding company's primary service to the industry is liquid 

chemical packaging logistics, the packaging and warehousing of 

liquid chemicals into 55-gallon drums, intermediate bulk 

containers, and pails; and

	WHEREAS, With 900,000 drums filled annually and a capacity 

of 100,000 drums of storage space, the company  provides 

excellent service to its customers in the Houston Ship Channel 

industrial district; and

	WHEREAS, A respected corporate citizen of Deer Park, Delta 

Chemical Services, Incorporated, provides 100 jobs to the area, 

bolstering the local economy and encouraging profitable growth 

in the area; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Delta 

Chemical Services, Incorporated, for their contributions to the 

Deer Park community and congratulate the company on being named 

the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce 2005 Industry of the Year; and, 

be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 

the company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
