SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 114
WHEREAS, Two very special people, Jonathan Curran and Kathleen Chase of Boston, were married at Saint Mary's Cathedral Basilica in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on July 16, 2005; and WHEREAS, A native of Boston, Mr. Curran graduated from Princeton University and works for Wellington Management; his interests are running, the beach, and spending time with his friends and family; and WHEREAS, Ms. Chase earned her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and her business degree from MIT Sloan School of Management; she has been employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Goldman Sachs in New York, and Chatham Partners and Fidelity Investments in Boston; known for her generosity and kindness, the bride enjoys traveling, dining with friends, and sharing a laugh with others; and WHEREAS, Mr. Curran proposed to Ms. Chase at Ogunquit Beach, after a day spent at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem and eating lobster at Barnacle Billy's; and WHEREAS, This loving couple is indeed fortunate to have found one another, and it is a pleasure to honor Jon and Katie as they embark on their journey as husband and wife; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jon Curran and Katie Chase on their marriage and extend to them sincere best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
