SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 118



	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 

recognize the Mesquite Republican Women's Club on the occasion 

of its 30th anniversary; and



	WHEREAS, The club was established in July of 1975 after the 

adoption of a resolution stating that its purpose was to raise 

awareness of political issues and candidates and to work for the 

election of Republican candidates at the local, state, and 

national levels; and



	WHEREAS, The new club met the requirements of membership 

in the National Federation of Republican Women, the Texas 

Federation of Republican Women, and the Dallas County Council 

of Republican Women; and



	WHEREAS, Since its inception, the club has worked hard to 

raise funds for candidates, distribute campaign literature, 

manage phone banks, and hold forums to spread the Republican 

viewpoint; now, therefore, be it



	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 

79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend the members 

of the Mesquite Republican Women's Club on their dedication and 

accomplishments and extend congratulations to them on the club's 

30th anniversary; and, be it further



	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 

them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
