SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 131



	WHEREAS, August 18, 2005, was indeed a day of

special significance in the lives of Heather Lee Haney and

Gabriel Garland Haney of Tulsa, Oklahoma, for on that day they 

became the proud parents of an adorable baby girl, Sahara Snow; 

and



	WHEREAS, This charming beauty weighed seven pounds, six 

ounces, when she made her long-awaited debut in Tulsa, her 

mother's hometown; her father is a proud Texan who was raised in 

Corpus Christi; and



	WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning 

personality, Sahara has already won the hearts of her parents, 

their families, and friends; and



	WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a momentous event, 

and the members of this chamber take great pleasure in formally 

announcing Sahara's birth and honoring her delighted parents; 

now, therefore, be it



	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend heartfelt 

congratulations to Heather Lee and Gabriel Garland Haney on the

birth of their daughter and officially recognize Sahara Snow Haney

as an honorary Texan, with all the rights and privileges thereof; 

and, be it further



	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be 

prepared for Sahara and her parents as an expression of high 

regard from the Texas Senate.
