SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 134





In Memory



of



Pete E. Santoy





	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and 

commemorates the life of Pete E. Santoy, who died August 10, 2005, 

at the age of 97; and



	WHEREAS, Pete Santoy was born November 3, 1907, in

San Marcos; his friends were like family members to him and 

everyone called him by his nickname, "Lito"; and



	WHEREAS, He will be remembered for his dauntless spirit and 

generous heart by all who met him, and his wisdom and valued 

counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and



	WHEREAS, He was a devoted father and grandfather, and he 

leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his 

family and many friends; now, therefore, be it



	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,

79th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend sincere 

condolences to the bereaved family of Pete E. Santoy:  his sons, 

David Santoy and Antonio Santoy; his daughters, Isabel Randa and 

Yolanda Curry; and his 18 grandchildren and his 26 

great-grandchildren; and, be it further



	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 

his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the 

Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do 

so in memory of Pete E. Santoy.
