No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add Chapter 375A to Title 12 of the Local Government Code to authorize certain small municipalities in certain counties to establish a municipal management district. Provisions of the bill would establish how the district would be established, operated, funded, and dissolved.

The bill would take effect immediately if it were to receive the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect the 91st day after the last day of the legislative session.
