A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to appropriations to the adjutant general's department for 
military facilities duties.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  ADJUTANT GENERAL'S DEPARTMENT: RESPONSIBILITIES 
OF TEXAS MILITARY FACILITIES COMMISSION.  The following amounts are 
appropriated out of the general revenue fund to the Adjutant 
General's Department for the purpose of the department assuming 
responsibilities of the Texas Military Facilities Commission:
		(1)  the amount of $1,337,808 for the state fiscal year 
ending August 31, 2006; and
		(2)  the amount of $1,179,514 for the state fiscal year 
ending August 31, 2007.
	SECTION 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act takes effect 
immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members 
elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas 
Constitution.  If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for 
immediate effect, this Act takes effect on the 91st day after the 
last day of the legislative session.
