A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to an appropriation to the Department of Assistive and 
Rehabilitative Services for providing vocational rehabilitation.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  In addition to amounts previously appropriated 
for the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2007, the following 
amounts are appropriated to the Department of Assistive and 
Rehabilitative Services for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 
2007, for the purpose of providing vocational rehabilitation 
programs to additional clients:
		(1)  the amount of $5,200,000 out of the general 
revenue fund; and          
		(2)  the amount of $19,200,000 in federal matching 
funds.                   
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this 
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the 
legislative session.
