R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Edward Julius Lange of Comfort, who passed away on September 18, 2005, at the age of 70; and WHEREAS, Born in Center Point to Mary Pankratz Lange and Robert J. Lange, Sr., on April 25, 1935, Mr. Lange was a lifelong resident of Kerr County and worked in the propane business for 33 years; and WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan gave generously of his time and talents to the community he was proud to call home; a former president of the Hill Country District Junior Livestock Association, he distinguished himself as the organization's director for nearly four decades; moreover, he served on the Ingram City Council for 10 years and on the Kerr County Appraisal District board of directors for seven years; and WHEREAS, Edward Lange was devoted to his family and community, and although his presence is sorely missed, he has left behind a legacy to treasure for those whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity of spirit; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Edward Julius Lange and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of 23 years, Jane Lange; to his children, Kris Brown and her husband, Michael, and Eric Batchelor and his wife, Julee; to his grandchildren, Ian Edward Brown, Langlee Brown, Claire Batchelor, and Caroline Batchelor; to his brother, Robert J. Lange, and his wife, Irene; and to his other family members and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Edward Julius Lange.
